Dong Nai will separate Huong Lo 2, section 2 connecting the expressway from the Amata city project.

Huong Lo 2, section 2, connecting National Highway 51 to Ho Chi Minh City Expressway, belongs to two urban area projects, but due to problems, it cannot be implemented yet. Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is completing procedures to separate the construction of this road from the two above projects for public investment.

On March 27, Dong Nai province leaders worked with representatives of departments, branches, localities, and Amata Group to listen to progress reports on the implementation of adjustments to the investment policy for the Amata Long Thanh city project.

Currently, Huong Lo 1, section 1 and Vam Cai Sut bridge have been completed, but to connect to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Huong Lo 2, section 2 must be invested in soon. In the photo is the end point of Vam Cai Sut bridge.

A representative of the Dong Nai Department of Finance said that currently, the implementation of the second section of the second rural road is urgent. Therefore, recently, the unit has worked with Amata Long Thanh City Company Limited (the investor of the Amata urban project) to request that this part of the rural road be separated from the project soon.

However, up to now, the company has not yet submitted to the Department of Finance the policy adjustment dossier to transfer to the Department of Construction for appraisal and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

According to the representative of Amata Group, the unit supports Dong Nai in separating the area of ​​Huong Lo 2 from the project boundary and has reported to the Group's Board of Directors to carry out related procedures.

After listening to the opinions of the units, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee said that previously, Huong Lo 2, Section 2, was located in the two urban areas of Amata City, Long Thanh and KN Bien Hoa. However, due to procedural problems, it could not be implemented, while the connecting route needed to be done soon.

In April 2024, Dong Nai province has a policy to invest in Huong Lo 2, section 2, from Vam Cai Sut bridge to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway using state budget capital.

The province also assigned departments and branches to work with investors to separate the road construction project from the urban area.

Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business Joint Stock Company has submitted a proposal to adjust the project policy for the Department of Finance to appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, but Amata has not yet.

Dong Nai province leaders requested Amata Long Thanh City Company Limited to urgently prepare a dossier to adjust the above project for the Department of Finance to appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval before April 10.

"After this period, if the enterprise does not proactively make adjustments to separate the road from the urban project, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee will assign the Long Thanh District People's Committee to prepare a dossier to adjust the project in accordance with legal regulations," Mr. Duc emphasized.

According to the plan, Huong Lo 2 has its starting point intersecting with National Highway 51 and its ending point intersecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. This will be a new traffic axis connecting Bien Hoa City with Ho Chi Minh City, shortening the distance and travel time. At the same time, it contributes to reducing the traffic volume on National Highway 51.

Huong Lo 2, section 1 from National Highway 51 to the intersection with the existing asphalt road (An Hoa - Long Hung road), Long Hung commune, Bien Hoa city is being invested in and constructed.

The Vam Cai Sut Bridge connecting sections 1 and 2 on Huong Lo 2 has just been completed. Therefore, the rapid implementation of Huong Lo 2 section 2 will help open the entire route, connecting Bien Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City via the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
