Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen was elected President of the Vietnam Women's Union.

NDO - On the afternoon of November 6, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women's Union held a conference to announce the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

Attending the event were Politburo members Le Minh Hung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission; Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Party Central Committee members; leaders of ministries, central departments, and Hanoi city.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's Decision on comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and ceasing to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2020-2025; transferring and appointing to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2022-2027.

Presenting the decision and congratulating comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung affirmed that in her working positions, comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen was assessed by the Politburo as a capable and courageous cadre, always completing her tasks well and excellently, making important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the agency and locality where she worked.

Comrade Le Minh Hung believes that Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen will quickly approach the job, continue to promote her capacity, strengths and working experience, together with the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union to lead and effectively organize the Union's activities, meeting the increasingly high requirements in the new situation.

At the same time, the Party Committee, Executive Committee, Presidium and leaders of units at all levels of the Association are requested to strengthen solidarity, unity, sharing, support and assist comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen to excellently complete the tasks entrusted and assigned by the Politburo.

Leaders of the Central Organizing Committee, Hanoi Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Presidium congratulated comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen.

On the same afternoon, the 11th Central Executive Committee Conference of the Vietnam Women's Union, term XIII, took place to finalize the personnel of the Executive Committee, Presidium and President of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2022-2027 term.

100% of the Executive Committee members present at the conference elected Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen to join the Central Executive Committee of the Union, member of the Central Presidium of the Union, and hold the position of President of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2022-2027.

In her acceptance speech, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Party and State leaders for their attention, trust, and assignment of great tasks and responsibilities.

The President of the Vietnam Women's Union respectfully thanks the members of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for their trust, confidence in electing and assigning her the important responsibility of being the head of the Vietnam Women's Union.

President of Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen gave a speech accepting the assignment.

"I promise to make every effort, be exemplary, uphold the Party's principles, and, together with the leadership and cadres of the Women's Union at all levels, be determined to successfully implement the goals and targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress; focus on implementing synchronous solutions to "Build Vietnamese Women of the new era"; persevere with the motto "where there are women, there are Women's Union activities" so that Women's Union activities have many innovations, making worthy contributions to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress", Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized.
