Vietnam team breaks through on FIFA rankings after victory over Laos

The Vietnamese team just had a successful opening match in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup with a 5-0 victory over Laos. This result helps coach Kim Sang Sik and his team gain a certain confidence before heading to the match against Malaysia next June.

Along with the joy of victory, the Vietnamese team received more great news on the FIFA rankings. According to calculations, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team were added 6.09 points after the 5-0 victory over Laos, thereby temporarily rising to 109th place on the FIFA rankings.
