Implementing the agricultural sector structure, Thanh Ba district has focused on building and innovating the form of production organization, gradually shifting from small-scale household production to farm economy, cooperatives, enterprises... in the direction of commodity production, bringing high economic efficiency, contributing to promoting rural economic development.
Purple tea buds products of UT Investment and Development Company Limited, Van Linh Commune, Thanh Ba District participated in the program to introduce, display, and connect consumption of OCOP products in Viet Tri City.
Currently, the collective economy in the district has initially developed, the fields and professions have been gradually expanded in the direction of multi-industry, diversifying types of activities. The district currently has 40 cooperatives in operation, including 31 agricultural cooperatives. To promote development, many new cooperative models have creative ways of organizing production, selecting key products; directly investing in building concentrated commodity production areas linked with businesses, participating in the consumption chain according to contracts. In particular, through the use of social networks to promote, introduce, and search for markets for products and services, mobilizing all resources to maintain and develop production and business.
Currently, the average product value per hectare of agricultural, forestry and fishery land reaches 120 million VND/ha. Thanks to the activities of cooperatives and diversified enterprises in many fields, it has contributed to shifting the economic structure, crop and livestock structure, creating concentrated commodity production areas, which is a premise for the development of agricultural and forestry processing industry, creating a driving force to promote household economy... Along with that, to improve the competitiveness of key agricultural products, the district has mechanisms and policies to attract and encourage enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas, focusing on developing plants and animals with local advantages such as: high-quality rice, tea, vegetables, raw wood from planted forests, beef cattle, chickens... and some other agricultural products with economic efficiency, meeting market demand.
In 2018, UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited, Van Linh Commune was established. With the determination to spread the Dat To tea brand not only in the domestic market but also abroad, the Company has cooperated with farmers to gradually standardize the input of green tea products; increase investment in modern machinery lines. Currently, the Company is looking for customers through trade promotion delegations and foreign exhibitions. The average export output is 1,500-1,700 tons of finished products/year. The average revenue is about 40-50 billion VND, contributing to the local economic growth target. Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong - Director of the Company said: "Along with expanding production scale, quickly accessing science and technology; participating in introducing, displaying, connecting consumption of OCOP products..., the Company will aim to produce goods more and more professionally, the trade channel will continue to be expanded by agents".
Along with tea products, up to now, the district has built many typical models such as: Growing high-quality grapefruit in Dong Thanh commune; growing bananas for export in Do Son and Hoang Cuong communes; linking high-quality rice production with large-scale model fields in Luong Lo, Do Xuyen, Dong Thanh, Do Son and Son Cuong communes; linking production and consumption of clean vegetables according to VietGAP standards in Do Xuyen commune; growing flowers in Nang Yen and Dai An communes... Along with that, the district encourages the development of craft villages and rural industries; focuses on vocational training and vocational transmission; strengthens management, encourages credit institutions to expand capital mobilization and lending activities in the area, creating equal opportunities for economic sectors to access credit capital to invest in production and business.
Implementing the construction and innovation of effective production organization forms has contributed to changing the thinking and awareness of Thanh Ba district people in agricultural production. Attention has been paid to investing in facilities and upgrading rural infrastructure; irrigation works, dams, intra-field traffic, etc. have basically met the production and livelihood requirements of the people and natural disaster prevention and control. In the coming time, the district will continue to focus on developing key agricultural products; paying attention to land consolidation to create concentrated, large-scale commodity production areas; promoting the application of science and technology, expanding the market for agricultural products to increasingly improve people's income and life.
