Unique culinary quintessence of the ancient capital

NDO - On the evening of October 18, at Dinosaur Park, Ninh Binh city, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh Tourism Food Festival 2024, with the theme "Culinary quintessence of the Ancient Capital".

Ninh Binh Tourism Food Festival 2024 attracts the participation of 8 districts and cities in the province with 100 booths of domestic and foreign enterprises participating in the competition and display.

The main activities taking place during the festival include: a space to display regional cuisine; a culinary tourism competition with traditional trays (for the King), food preparation; and a discussion on developing Ninh Binh culinary tourism culture.

Along with a series of activities responding to the event including competitions: flower arrangement art, English Champion, cake making, chess, searching for Tourism Ambassador - shining with Ninh Binh culinary tourism;...

In particular, at the opening ceremony, there was a culinary promotion activity by the Vietnam Chefs Association, the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, and the Vietnam Royal Chefs Association, cooking a giant pot of crab soup with 999 servings to thank tourists. The event was open free of charge to residents and tourists.

Comrade Pham Duy Phong, Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, spoke at the opening ceremony.

Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Province Department of Tourism Pham Duy Phong said that this is an important event, not only for the tourism industry but also for the overall cultural and economic development of the province; contributing to preserving, honoring and promoting the value of traditional culinary culture, researching and restoring dishes in the ancient Royal style of Hoa Lu Capital.

At the same time, through the festival, introduce and promote the quintessence of traditional cuisine of the ancient capital, enhance the value and quality of dishes of the ancient capital Hoa Lu to serve tourists, create new, unique and attractive tourism products, attracting a large number of people and domestic and international tourists.

This is also one of the activities to promote the image of the tourist destination brand, culinary culture, people, potentials and advantages of tourism development of Ninh Binh province.
