Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong made the above statement at the Artificial Intelligence Day 2023 taking place in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, Vietnam is facing the unlimited potential of Generative AI, one of the tools that will help improve human intellectual productivity dramatically in the coming time. In the wave of AI technology development, Vietnam has also taken strong steps in participating in promoting research, application and development of AI human resources. For example, in 2021, the Vietnamese Government issued the National Strategy on AI Research, Development and Application to 2030. After 2 years of implementation, Vietnam has achieved encouraging results. In 2022, Vietnam ranked 55th in the world in terms of AI readiness index, up 7 places compared to 2021, according to a report by Oxford Insights. Vietnam also has businesses with remarkable achievements in AI application research, such as: FPT, Viettel AI, VNPT AI, VIN AI... In particular, VIN AI has entered the Top 20 leading global companies in AI research voted by Thundermark Capital in 2022, comparable to many famous companies from developed countries. With the theme "AI - redesigning reality", AI Day 2023 attracts more than 30 experts who are leading professors and scientists in the field of artificial intelligence from all over the world, along with more than 100 business representatives and 1,500 guests in the fields of technology, production and manufacturing domestically and internationally. Including the participation of the world's leading experts. For example, Professor Martial Hebert - a "giant" in the field of robotics and computer vision - will have new shares about the main obstacles and solutions in deploying AI systems in the real world. Professor Simon Lucey - a "pioneer" in applying mathematical models as a foundation for computer vision perception research - presented on Neural Priors, a concept and breakthrough direction that helps AI models memorize and integrate existing knowledge to help predict and make better decisions. Professor Anton van den Hengel - a "monument" in the field of machine learning - spoke on Continuous Learning, an algorithm that helps computers continuously learn to cope with the world's constant changes. Associate Professor Dr. Angela Yao - National University of Singapore - presented on algorithms to recognize and analyze human behavior, based on sample processes of actions, promising to bring many new perspectives to the technology community participating in the program... AI Day is an annual event co-organized by VinAI Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Company (under Vingroup) and New Turning Institute, taking place on December 5 and 6.
