The economic growth rate (GRDP) in 2024 will reach 7.16%; total budget revenue will reach 7,917 billion VND; total export turnover will reach 1,220 million USD; total social development investment capital will reach 47,890 billion VND, an increase of 21.91%... In the context of deep international economic integration, in addition to opportunities, businesses and entrepreneurs also face many difficulties and challenges.

However, with the special attention of the Party and the State, along with many supporting and motivating policies, up to now, many enterprises and businessmen in the province have made breakthroughs in enterprise management, production and business, developing enterprises, making breakthrough exports, creating jobs, and participating in social security activities. A typical example is An Giang Fruit and Vegetable Joint Stock Company (Antesco). In 2024, Antesco made a strong impression when it achieved sales of over 1,400 billion VND, profit of 80 billion VND (an increase of 56 billion VND), becoming the No. 1 frozen fruit and vegetable exporter in Vietnam and the No. 1 mango exporter in the world. The company also contributes to increasing farmers' income through linking production and consumption of vegetables and fruit trees in raw material areas. At the same time, it creates jobs for thousands of rural workers and at 3 factories located in the area, with high and stable income.

Total revenue is over 2,133 billion VND. Total profit before tax is over 15 billion VND. Budget contribution is over 211.7 billion VND. The company currently has 50 gas stations; average income of employees is 18.6 million VND/person/month; social security contribution is 925 million VND. “Petrolimex An Giang’s petroleum output increased higher than the industry average. This result is due to the attention of the Provincial People’s Committee and the efforts of the company’s Board of Directors in a context of mixed advantages and difficulties. The company has managed dynamically, led with many innovations, performed well, and output, revenue, and profit have all increased,” commented Tran Ngoc Nam, Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

In 2025, the province sets the following socio-economic development goals: Economic growth rate (GRDP) of 10% or more; GRDP per capita of 75 million VND/person/year; budget revenue of 8,471 billion VND; total social investment capital of 50,563 billion VND; export turnover of 1,230 million USD. Therefore, the task of 2025 is extremely difficult, requiring great efforts and determination from the entire political system, the business community and the people. “The business community needs to continue to uphold the spirit of overcoming difficulties, solidarity, self-reliance, self-strengthening, proactive adaptation, flexibility, drastic action, scientific and effective solutions, active innovation and creativity, to proactively take advantage of opportunities, overcome all challenges, and together with local authorities at all levels to successfully implement the province's socio-economic plan.
