The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province issued Decision No. 67/2024 on land division and land consolidation for residential land and agricultural land in the area. The new policy takes effect from October 3, replacing the old related decisions issued in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
According to the decision, for residential land, the land plot formed from the division and the remaining land plot must ensure the conditions on area and minimum side dimensions.
Specifically, the minimum area of a land plot after separation in wards of Hue city is 60m2; in towns of districts and wards of towns is 80m2; in plain communes is 100m2; in midland and mountainous communes is 120m2.
The frontage dimension of the land plot is greater than or equal to 4m for streets with a red line width of less than 19m. The frontage dimension of the land plot is greater than or equal to 5m for streets with a red line width of greater than or equal to 19m. The depth dimension of the land plot is greater than or equal to 5m.
For agricultural land, the separation of the newly formed land plot from the separation and the remaining land plot must ensure the area conditions.

In which, the minimum area of land for annual crops (except rice land), aquaculture land, concentrated livestock land in communes and wards of Hue city is 200m2; in towns of districts and wards of towns is 300m2; in plain communes is 400m2; in midland and mountainous communes is 500m2.
The minimum area of land for perennial crops and other agricultural land in communes and wards of Hue city is 400m2; in district towns and wards of towns is 600m2; in plain communes is 800m2; in midland and mountainous communes is 1,000m2.
For forestry land, the regulation states that the minimum area must be 5,000m2.
In addition, regarding the handling of transition, in cases where valid dossiers on land division and land consolidation have been received but have not been resolved before the effective date of this decision (October 3), the land division and land consolidation will continue to be resolved according to the old relevant decisions issued previously.
In case of receiving documents after October 3, the competent authority shall handle them according to the provisions of this decision.
