For MICE tourism in Vietnam to develop commensurate with its potential and strengths

Under the direction of the Vietnam Tourism Association, the tourism business connection event called MICE EXPO 2024 was organized by the Vietnam MICE Tourism Club at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

Attracting 500 tourism businesses nationwide, MICE EXPO 2024 is an opportunity for tourism businesses, service providers, and stakeholders to meet, exchange information, learn about market trends, products, expand joint ventures, partnerships, and sign cooperation contracts in the field of MICE tourism.

At the same time, the event also created a forum to discuss visions, evaluate opportunities and challenges to develop MICE tourism in Vietnam in a professional, effective and sustainable direction, associated with the green transformation and digital transformation orientation of Vietnam tourism.

MICE EXPO 2024 is even more meaningful when it is held on September 27 - World Tourism Day with the message sent by the United Nations Tourism Organization to member countries: "Tourism and Peace".

Speaking here, Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that after the Covid-19 pandemic, a series of tourism types have developed remarkably, becoming a bright spot of Vietnam Tourism, including MICE Tourism.

As a type of tourism combining meetings, seminars, conferences, incentives and exhibitions, MICE has grown strongly, expanded and connected with discovery and resort activities... to enhance competitiveness.

Mr. Vu The Binh highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam MICE Tourism Club in linking, supporting, and cooperating to improve professional expertise, professional skills, and service quality to improve business efficiency and promote the development of Vietnam MICE tourism.

After 4 years of operation, Vietnam MICE Tourism Club has become a strong unit of Vietnam Tourism Association, with 65 direct members and hundreds of affiliated units.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam MICE Tourism Club, believes that this event will find new trends for MICE tourism and creative solutions to improve service quality and optimize MICE tourism business efficiency in Vietnam.

In particular, within the framework of MICE EXPO 2024, the Vietnam MICE Tourism Development Forum with the theme "Vietnam - Destination of MICE Tourism" organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association in coordination with the Institute for Tourism Development Research attracted nearly 300 delegates.

Here, delegates exchanged and discussed solutions to promote the development of MICE tourism in Vietnam, through 3 main topic groups: assessing the role of MICE tourism; developing MICE tourism destinations; developing MICE tourism services.
