On the evening of April 4, De Bruyne announced his decision to leave Man City on his personal social network. The Belgian midfielder expressed his deep gratitude to the team and fans for what he has experienced during his 10 years with the club. He will turn 34 at the end of June.

"This club, this city, the people here have given me everything. I am grateful to everyone and we have won the titles we dreamed of," the Man City midfielder wrote on his personal page.

Man City's homepage also just posted an article confirming the farewell with this midfielder after the season ends.

De Bruyne has not revealed his next destination, although there is widespread speculation that he could move to MLS this summer. San Diego FC are said to be closely interested in him.

Sky Sports also reported that De Bruyne is in talks with Neom SC, a team in Saudi Arabia.

De Bruyne joined Man City from Wolfsburg at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season.

And immediately responded to doubts about his previous unsuccessful playing time at Chelsea (2013-2014 season).

In 413 appearances for the blue half of Manchester, the Belgian player scored 106 goals and had 174 assists.

With 118 Premier League assists, De Bruyne is now second in the history of the competition, behind only Man United legend Ryan Giggs, who has played more games.

However, age seems to have caught up with the Belgian. De Bruyne's minutes at Man City have dropped sharply this season. He has just 4 goals and 7 assists in 31 appearances, totaling 1,698 minutes.
