The North-South Eastern Expressway Project in the 2021-2025 period through Quang Binh province is 126.43 km long, passing through 6 districts, towns, cities and 35 communes and wards. About 3,772 households are affected, of which 3,885 graves must be relocated to new locations.
The affected technical infrastructure works include: 500 kV line system with 15 locations, 220 kV line with 15 locations, 110 kV line with 21 locations intersecting with the expressway and many medium and low voltage power lines, telecommunication systems...
Regarding site clearance, the locality has handed over the entire 126.43/126.43 km to the investor.
Regarding construction progress, currently 3 component projects of the North-South expressway through Quang Binh are basically completed, specifically: Vung Ang - Bung section has completed about 86.8% of the volume, disbursement value of 7,483.9/8,625.9 billion VND; Bung - Van Ninh section has completed more than 70.09% of the volume, disbursement value of 5,170.68/7,377.5 billion VND; Van Ninh - Cam Lo section has completed 78.35% of the volume, disbursement value of 4,352.43/5,554.82 billion VND.
Construction units are mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, working 3 shifts continuously. Up to now, many sections have completed laying 3 layers of asphalt concrete on the road surface, installing safety signs and barriers.

Mr. Vu Anh Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Quang Binh province, said that up to now, 3 component projects of the North-South expressway through Quang Binh are being constructed very vigorously to be ready for traffic by the end of June.
In addition to urging the progress of this project, the locality is also speeding up the site clearance to hand over to the investor to build 02 rest stops of the North-South expressway project located in Quang Chau commune, Quang Trach district and Dong Son ward, Dong Hoi city.
Specifically, the rest stop in Quang Chau commune has an expanded area of 7.05 hectares. Quang Binh province has completed the site clearance work and handed it over to Project Management Board 6 to implement the project. The rest stop in Dong Son ward, Dong Hoi city has an expanded area of 3.12 hectares. Currently, the compensation and support plan for site clearance is being made public after updating the new land price list issued by the Provincial People's Committee on March 20.
"The early completion of site clearance, speeding up construction progress and implementing the construction of rest stops is of great significance, not only serving the resting needs of traffic participants but also contributing to improving the quality of services on the North-South expressway section passing through the province," said the Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Department of Construction.
Recently, a working delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van inspected the implementation of the Vung Ang - Bung component project of the North - South Eastern Expressway project. During the inspection, the Deputy Minister of Construction highly appreciated the efforts of the locality, the investor, and the project contractor.
The Deputy Minister of Construction requested that units continue to promote a sense of responsibility to focus on coordinating to thoroughly handle difficulties and problems, urgently construct items according to schedule; complete documents and procedures related to the project; assess impacts and influences related to people and localities. Contractors focus on arranging human resources, strive to put the project into operation, ensure quality, safety, aesthetics, etc.
"Quang Binh province continues to pay attention, create favorable conditions, and coordinate with investors and contractors to quickly handle difficulties and problems related to fence construction, construction of service roads, relocation of 500 kV power lines... to ensure quality and completion and put into use on schedule," the Deputy Minister of Construction requested.
