Promote propaganda on administrative unit merger policy

(QBĐT) - On the morning of March 27, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to hold a regular press conference for March 2025. Comrade Hoang Xuan Tan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the press conference. Attending the press conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, relevant departments, agencies, and reporters and journalists in the area.

In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Binh's economy continued to maintain stable growth with GRDP increasing by 7.84% over the same period. Total state budget revenue is estimated at nearly VND 1,940 billion.

Policies to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households have been strongly implemented. As of March 19, 1,160/1,553 houses have been started, reaching 74.7%.

Regarding the implementation of key transport projects in the province, in 2025, the Department of Construction will continue to implement 5 transitional projects and 2 urgent projects with a total investment of more than 3,300 billion VND, disbursing nearly 1,850 billion VND (56%). Transport projects managed by the Ministry of Transport and other investors in the province are also being urgently implemented.

At the press conference, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs provided information on the implementation of the arrangement of professional agencies at the provincial and district levels and public service units under the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, as of March 21, the Provincial People's Committee has completed the arrangement of professional agencies at the provincial and district levels according to the policy of the Central Steering Committee and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Regarding the implementation of staff reduction according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government, by March 1, 6 cases of cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee had been resolved. The Provincial People's Committee is reviewing and approving the list of beneficiaries of policies for 35 cases in agencies, units, and localities that are being submitted to the Provincial People's Committee.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also provided information on some tourism activities in the first quarter of 2025. In the first 3 months of 2025, Quang Binh tourism continued to maintain impressive growth momentum, with more than 1 million visitors, an increase of 4.5% over the same period last year.

In the coming time, Quang Binh will organize many attractive cultural, sports and tourism activities, at the same time strengthen tourism promotion and advertising; manage and support businesses to improve service quality, ready to serve tourists in the upcoming peak season.
