A rare incident just happened in the US airspace, a former NASA astronaut had a "heart-stopping" moment when his private plane almost collided with two mysterious metal objects. The incident occurred during a flight from Colorado to Texas, raising deep concerns about aviation safety and reheating the debate about the existence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

According to media reports, the person who encountered this dangerous situation was Mr. Leroy Chiao, a veteran former astronaut of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). At the time of the incident, Mr. Chiao was piloting his personal plane on a journey from Colorado to Houston, Texas. Suddenly, at an altitude of 9,000 feet (about 2,743 meters), he was horrified to witness two metal balls of unknown origin rushing past the left side of his plane.

Describing the strange objects, Mr. Chiao said they were estimated to be about 3 feet (0.9 meters) in diameter. Remarkably, the two balls flew close together, one above the other. "They were only about 20 feet (6 meters) away from me. Luckily, they didn't hit my plane!", Mr. Chiao recalled, still in a dazed tone. He also admitted that the incident happened so quickly " I didn't even have time to feel scared," he said.

It is worth noting that these two metal objects did not appear on the plane's radar screen at all, meaning that the air traffic control center was also unaware of their presence and could not give Mr. Chiao any warning.

The former astronaut frankly shared that he had absolutely no idea about the true nature of the two mysterious metal spheres. However, he hypothesized that they could be related to a secret US military technology testing program, possibly a top-secret military project or some kind of advanced drone. "But if not, it's really worrying!", Mr. Chiao expressed his concern.

He also emphasized that the number of UFO sightings has been increasing significantly and systematically in recent times, making him believe that it is highly unlikely that these are just baseless hoaxes. From his experience and position, Mr. Chiao called on the Pentagon and relevant federal agencies to be more transparent in providing information about mysterious aerial phenomena.

“They can share with the public what they know. And if they really don’t know anything, then that makes us feel even more insecure,” Mr. Chiao concluded, expressing concern about the mysteries that still exist in our skies.
