On the morning of August 23, Nhu Xuan district solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the district Party Committee (August 25, 1949 - August 25, 2024).

75 years ago, on August 25, 1949, with the consensus of the Provincial Party Committee, the Regional Party Committee and the Western Executive Committee, the Như Xuân Party Cell convened a district-wide Party Congress at the barracks of the Security Zone in Đồng Ổt village, Yên Cát commune (now Thanh Xuân village, Hóa Quỳ commune). The Congress elected the District Party Executive Committee consisting of 5 comrades, and comrade Nguyễn Xuân Liêm was appointed as Secretary of the District Party Committee. The first District Party Congress was a particularly important political event, marking the birth of the Như Xuân District Party Committee, the crystallization of the patriotic tradition, a historical milestone, an important turning point of the district's revolutionary movement, marking a new development step in both quantity and quality of the local revolutionary movement; an inevitable result of the revolutionary movement in the district from 1930-1949. From here, the people of all ethnic groups in Nhu Xuan district had a Party Committee directly leading the cause of resistance, national construction, building and defending the Fatherland.

After 75 years of construction and development with 23 congresses, the Party Committee of Nhu Xuan district has proposed policies and resolutions to lead the revolutionary movement in accordance with the local situation and reality, bringing Nhu Xuan to increasingly solid development. In the process of leading the implementation of political tasks, the Party Committee of the district always determines: Economic development is the central task, Party building is the key task; taking ensuring social security, improving people's lives, and sustainable poverty reduction as development goals.

On that basis, the District Party Committee has proposed many appropriate resolutions and solutions to promote the potential and advantages of the district, take advantage of opportunities and support from the Central Government and the province, and focus on leading a number of key tasks, namely: Promoting agricultural and forestry production in the direction of goods, improving the investment and business environment, encouraging the development of advantageous industries and services; gradually building and perfecting infrastructure; effectively implementing the new rural construction program; focusing on sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security; maintaining national defense and security; building a strong Party and political system. Nhu Xuan, from a poor district with many difficulties, has gradually developed and achieved great achievements in all fields.

In recognition of the achievements of the Party Committee, Government and People of Nhu Xuan District, the Party Committee and People of all ethnic groups of Nhu Xuan District were honored to receive many noble titles from the Party and State: 3 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces; 37 Mothers were awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother; 12 collectives and 14 individuals were awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President and hundreds of collectives and individuals were awarded by the Prime Minister, ministries, central branches and the province. Notably, in 2014, the People and cadres of Nhu Xuan District were awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the President.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Tuan Sinh acknowledged and commended the achievements that the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Nhu Xuan district have strived to achieve during the 75-year journey of construction and development. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee, government and people of Nhu Xuan district to continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity and unity, and strive to successfully and comprehensively implement the set goals and tasks.

In particular, it is necessary to promote propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the district, especially the young generation, so that each cadre, party member and people clearly understand and appreciate the process of establishment, development and growth of the district Party Committee; widely propagate the strong breakthrough, the great and comprehensive achievements that the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province and Nhu Xuan district have achieved in recent years, so that each cadre, party member and people of all walks of life have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party Committee, have the will, determination to rise up, high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions to bring Nhu Xuan to a new breakthrough in socio-economic development, contributing to the overall development of the province.

Focus on rapid and sustainable economic development; Strongly shift the economic structure associated with effective implementation of district planning, Yen Cat town planning, Bai Tranh urban planning, industrial cluster planning, infrastructure system planning to exploit and maximize the potential and advantages of land, labor, traditional industries of the locality... Continue to comprehensively develop the cultural - social sector; improve the quality of education - training at all levels. Preserve and promote the good cultural identity values ​​of ethnic minorities in the area. Further improve the quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". Strengthen national defense - security, maintain political stability, social order and safety; widely spread the movement "All people protect national security", creating a stable and healthy environment for development.

Immediately after this celebration, the Party Committee of Nhu Xuan district needs to urgently start building a plan and prepare well the conditions to organize the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term in the spirit of Directive No. 35 of the Politburo and the direction and guidance of the province; in which, proactively build major orientations, key solutions, and breakthroughs in both economy, culture, and society, and build a political system to focus on leadership, direction, and implementation to achieve the highest results.
