However, along with the widespread application of information technology, information security vulnerabilities and weaknesses are becoming increasingly common; many cyber attacks targeting businesses and customers' personal information have occurred and are occurring, causing damage to businesses and customers.
Therefore, PC Quang Tri always determines that ensuring information security is an urgent and important task, not only for the benefit of the business but also a responsibility to society and electricity customers. Therefore, PC Quang Tri has built many preventive measures and plans to ensure information security for the unit's information system.
Currently, the company has issued full regulations and rules on information security; developed technical standards and regulations in operating information systems to ensure information security at the unit. In its affiliated units, the company has guided and issued internal regulations on ensuring information security in applying information technology to production and business activities...
To ensure information security for shared information systems throughout the company, PC Quang Tri has upgraded and invested in new firewalls, backup power systems for servers, and server room network systems. Built a remote intelligent monitoring system for the server room, and a Scada system to perform monitoring and instant warning tasks.
At the same time, the company regularly plans to coordinate with its affiliated units to proactively inspect and review server systems, workstations, network equipment, hardware, software and application systems to assess the overall level of network information security, promptly detect and handle incidents and vulnerabilities, and prevent malicious codes from attacking the network system.
In addition, the unit has implemented information system assessment and information system security level according to the direction of the Central Power Corporation on ensuring information system security at many levels.
Identifying people as the key factor, deciding all issues related to ensuring information safety and security, PC Quang Tri has built lectures on information security on the E-learning program to raise awareness of officers and employees in the company about the importance of ensuring information safety and security; thoroughly educate employees in the company to use internal applications CPC-eOffice Chat, CPC mail to send documents to exchange work; regularly and periodically change user account passwords every 90 days.
Focus on propaganda so that officers and employees are fully aware of the position, role and importance of each individual in ensuring network information security. In addition, the company also focuses on recommending that users always follow the CKC rule (caution - check - vigilance) for files, images (QR codes), and account authentication information from strange addresses.
Thereby, helping users raise awareness and responsibility for information security risks in using computers, network systems and using applications for work; at the same time equipping them with some basic skills to use information technology equipment and services safely.
The application of information technology has brought positive effects in the current context of globalization, but it also contains potential risks to information security due to subjects taking advantage of application vulnerabilities and users' lack of knowledge to steal information data.
Therefore, in addition to widely applying information technology in production and business activities, PC Quang Tri has proactively built a legal corridor and deployed security solutions, early detection of information vulnerabilities for handling, demonstrating the proactiveness of enterprises when participating in the "information highway" as well as promoting the responsibility of enterprises to customers.
