The cause of the outbreak of dengue fever is the current erratic weather in Dak Nong province, creating favorable conditions for Aedes mosquitoes to breed and develop. In addition, many people in Dak Nong province are still subjective and have not voluntarily implemented measures to prevent and control dengue fever.
To proactively take measures to prevent and control dengue fever, the health sector of Dak Nong province is currently focusing and resolutely directing specialized units to deploy dengue fever prevention and control monitoring campaigns. In particular, continuing to implement plans to kill mosquito larvae, spraying chemicals to proactively prevent and control dengue fever in localities that have not yet implemented, and conducting mosquito larvae extermination weekly or every 2 weeks in high-risk areas to avoid leaving households and untreated tools behind.
The Dak Nong Provincial Department of Health will continue to perform its role of advising, monitoring, directing and assessing the dengue fever epidemic situation regularly and continuously to detect outbreaks early. At the same time, it will carry out zoning and handling after recording outbreaks to limit widespread spread and minimize risks.
