During the Action Month for Children, in Buon Ma Thuot city and districts and towns throughout Dak Lak province, there were many practical activities such as: visiting and giving gifts to poor children and children in especially difficult circumstances; further promoting the dissemination and popularization of the Law on Children, documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Children, laws on handling acts of violence and child abuse; hanging slogans, messages, posting reports, news, articles, documents... on child protection, instructions on safe use of the Internet; strengthening the work of preventing and combating child abuse; preventing and combating accidents and injuries to children, especially drowning; policies on health, education, law, and social assistance for children. Localities disseminated and guided how to use the National Hotline for Child Protection (number 111), Hotline App 111 (ios, android); hotline to receive information, support child protection and care of the province; Organize communication activities for families, schools, and children about the dangers and consequences of violence and child abuse; responsibility for detecting, informing, reporting, and denouncing acts of violence and child abuse; agencies and addresses responsible for receiving information about cases and supporting and intervening in cases of violence and abuse. In addition, organize activities to support and care for children; promote children's participation; and ensure a safe and healthy summer vacation.

The above activities aim to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors, teachers, parents, caregivers and children in implementing the Law on Children, policies and laws on preventing and combating child abuse; care for poor children, children in remote areas, children in special circumstances; strengthen solutions to effectively implement policies and laws on preventing and combating child abuse; support teachers, parents, caregivers and children to access medical and legal services, ensure better implementation of children's rights, especially children who are victims of violence, abuse, and children in special circumstances; promote the dissemination and education of legal knowledge for parents, teachers, caregivers and the community on child protection; skills to prevent and handle cases of violence and child abuse; responsibility to detect, inform, report and denounce acts of violence and child abuse. Also during the Month of Action for Children, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with agencies, departments, branches, and benefactors to give gifts to children; organized training to improve capacity for district and commune-level child workers in 2023 with 224 participants in Buon Ma Thuot city. Training content includes: Deploying child work tasks in 2023; new programs, plans, and documents on child work of the central and provincial levels. Instructions on using child management software. Support and intervention procedures for cases of children who are abused or at risk of violence, exploitation, abandonment, and children in special circumstances.

Develop and implement support and intervention plans for children in special circumstances, children who are abused or at risk of violence, exploitation, and abandonment. Implement the collection of statistical indicators and reports according to Circular No. 13/2021/TT-BLDTBXH, dated September 30, 2021 of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on promulgating a set of statistical indicators on the situation of children and the situation of child abuse, and handling administrative violations against acts of child abuse. Implement Circular No. 27/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, dated December 29, 2022 of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on guiding children's participation in activities outside the family and society. Child injury prevention and control work and Decision No. 06/QD-TTg, dated January 3, 2019 of the Prime Minister on promulgating regulations on standards, procedures for assessing and recognizing child-friendly communes, wards and towns. It can be said that the Month of Action for Children has been officially specified in the Law on Children and has become a vibrant annual activity, demonstrating the strong commitment of all levels, sectors, communities, families and the whole society in the joint effort to build a safe, loving, equal and comprehensively developed environment for all children. The annual Month of Action for Children has become a memorable meeting point every summer, bringing with it many desires, dreams, beliefs, love, waiting and excitement when welcoming a new summer; This is an opportunity for children to feel most deeply the love and care, to express themselves, to speak up their legitimate wishes and needs to leaders at all levels of government, thereby ensuring that they fully enjoy their rights.
