June 1st was Sports Day for the German Embassy in Hanoi. On this occasion, the Embassy welcomed special guests: the Vietnam Women's Football Team.
The Vietnamese women's football team has qualified for the Women's World Cup, which will be held from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand.

In preparation for the Women's World Cup, the team will train in Germany and Poland from June 5 to 24 and will have a number of training matches there. The highlight of the training session will be a friendly match against the German Women's National Team on June 24 in Offenbach on the Main River.

During the meeting, Deputy Ambassador Simon Kreye congratulated the team for qualifying for the Women's World Cup Finals for the first time, and expressed his joy that the team would go to Germany for training in preparation for the Women's World Cup. The Deputy Ambassador wished the Vietnamese Women's National Team much success at the Women's World Cup.
The Head Coach and Captain of the Vietnam Women's Football Team thanked the Embassy for inviting them to the exchange; they commented that the German Women's Football Team is a team with the highest level in the world. Therefore, the Vietnam Women's Football Team hopes to learn a lot from the friendly match on June 24.

During the exchange, members of the Embassy and the Vietnam Women's Football Team also had the opportunity to learn and discuss the interests, training process as well as the wishes of the Vietnamese side during their trip to Germany this time.
