In addition, the representative of Vietnamese football earned an additional 120 thousand USD (about 3 billion VND) in bonus from the tournament organizers, according to the regulations announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Thus, for reaching the semi-finals of the Asian tournament alone, Ho Chi Minh City Club was awarded 3.7 billion VND.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City FC earned 220,000 USD (5.6 billion VND) according to the tournament's regulations for reaching the quarterfinals. In addition, AFC stipulated the bonus for teams reaching the quarterfinals at 80,000 USD.
