On the morning of June 23, Thanh Hoa Fisheries Association held the 4th Congress of Delegates, term 2023 - 2028.

During the past term, Thanh Hoa Fisheries Association has affirmed its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights of its members and fishermen, contributing to the sustainable development of the province's fishing and aquaculture industry. The work of building and developing more grassroots associations in communes and wards in the fields of fishing and aquaculture has been focused on. Up to now, the province has 10 fishing associations (including: 4 fishing associations, 4 aquaculture associations, 2 processing and logistics service associations) with 876 members.

Mr. Le Viet Rong, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Fisheries Association, Term III, delivered the opening speech at the congress.

During the last term, the association has actively promoted and disseminated to members about building and developing fisheries in economic sectors; protecting and developing aquatic resources; measures to prevent and combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing; regulations on registration, inspection, and implementation of fishing under licenses...

In addition, the association coordinates with the Coastal Resources for Sustainable Development Project (CRSD) and the Department of Fisheries to build and strengthen community management groups in coastal aquaculture and exploitation.

The Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Fisheries Association, Term III, presided over the congress.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association consisting of 25 members. The Executive Committee held its first meeting and elected 9 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Association. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Director of Hoa Sen 68 LLC was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Fisheries Association for the 4th term.
