At the decision announcement ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that with the increasing scale of training and the expansion of the apparatus, the National Economics University is facing great pressure on investment in facilities, information technology infrastructure, especially in mobilizing finance as well as developing human resources.
"Global competition and the need for international standardization also pose increasingly high demands. This forces the National Economics University to have a long-term development strategy, ensuring the effective and sustainable operation of a complex management system, while meeting international standards in the context of increasingly deep integration.
The school needs to develop a multidisciplinary, multi-field university system, not only in the field of economics but also expanding to information technology, data science and other fields; it is necessary to promote the development of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary training programs, in line with global trends.
At the same time, the school constantly improves the quality of training and research according to international standards, focusing on specialized and elite training, not chasing quantity, and encouraging scientific research that has great influence in the region and the world," said the Minister.
