The Doc Cuoc Temple Blessing Festival is a traditional festival to commemorate the merits of Doc Cuoc God and his ancestors and to pray for a new year of favorable weather, calm seas, full holds of fish and shrimp, successful crops, a prosperous life, and for tourism in Sam Son City to develop more and more.
The traditional procession attracts thousands of people to participate.
On March 25 (February 16 of the lunar calendar), at the Doc Cuoc Temple Historical - Cultural Relic, Sam Son City solemnly held the Doc Cuoc Temple Blessing Festival in 2024.

From early morning, thousands of people of the coastal city in traditional and festive costumes carried palanquins from temples and communal houses in 5 wards: Truong Son, Bac Son, Trung Son, Quang Tien, Quang Cu, parading through Ho Xuan Huong street, and gathered at Doc Cuoc temple yard to open the festival.
Vice Chairman of Sam Son City People's Committee Bui Quoc Dat delivered the opening speech of the festival.

Traditional blessing and sacrificial rituals
Immediately after the drumbeat to open the festival, there are traditional rituals of praying for blessings and sacrifices, expressing respect for ancestors and expressing the wishes of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in the new year.
The performance "Sacred Talisman" won an excellent award at the Traditional and Mass Arts Festival.
Next is the final round of the Traditional Arts and Mass Arts Festival with 5 outstanding performances selected from the preliminary round on the evening of March 24 and the final round of the card chess and Chinese chess competition.
