Da Nang City is managing 341 large land plots but has only successfully auctioned 9 plots. In 2024, the City approved the auction list of 33 large land plots.
On the afternoon of May 17, Mr. Nguyen Hong An - Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City provided information on land management and auction in the city.
According to Mr. An, the City Land Fund Development Center is managing 341 large land plots and 20,504 subdivided land lots.
Regarding the implementation of auction work, in 2022, the city successfully auctioned 7 large land plots. However, 2 plots later had to cancel the auction results because the land users did not fulfill their financial obligations.
In 2023, the City successfully auctioned 4 large land plots and 2 subdivided land lots.
In 2024, the City People's Committee approved a list of 33 large land plots and 180 subdivided residential land lots. The city is currently organizing auctions.
Regarding the auction for temporary land lease, Mr. Nguyen Hong An said that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has developed a plan for temporary land lease with a term and has successfully piloted the auction of 3 land plots.
Specifically, land plot No. 1 Truong Chi Cuong Street (Hai Chau District), this land plot has been put into use. The second land plot is An Cu 5 residential area, Man Thai Ward (Son Tra District).
The third plot of land is A.13, at the end of Bach Dang Dong Street (Son Tra District). However, the auction result of this plot of land was canceled because the winning bidder did not fulfill the related obligations…

It is known that in early April 2024, Da Nang City organized an auction of two large plots of land to build a supermarket and a school, with a total area of more than 5,000 m2.
Accordingly, Da Nang City approved the auction of land use rights for the Supermarket Area at land lot A12 in Resettlement Area No. 6, land exploitation strip along DT 602 (Hoa Son commune, Hoa Vang district).
This land has an area of over 3,640 m2. Of which, the land for building the supermarket has an area of 2,100 m2, the rest is parking lot land, traffic land, and green trees.
The total estimated investment of the project is over 126 billion VND. Da Nang City plans to hold the auction in the third quarter of 2024.
In addition, Da Nang City also approved the auction of land use rights for the Kindergarten project at lot A2-2 of the Residential Area project south of Bui Ta Han Street (Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District).
This land has an area of 1,480 m2, is land for building educational and training facilities. Expected to be auctioned in the second quarter of 2024.
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the total estimated investment of the project, excluding land use fees, is approximately more than 29 billion VND.
