Lady Gaga is reportedly frustrated by the backlash to “Joker: Folie à Deux.” She and her team are looking to quickly push forward with other projects to distract from the failure.
After 5 years of waiting, the next part of the movie Joker officially released on October 4. However, contrary to expectations, the film failed when it only earned 37.8 million USD in the North American market in the first week of release (October 4-6), while the budget was up to 200 million USD. For comparison, part 1 set a record for opening weekend revenue with 96.2 million USD, surpassing the film's production budget of 65 million USD. Not only that, Joker: Folie à Deux received a D rating, the lowest CinemaScore score in comic book film history.
That poor box office performance is said to have caused Lady Gaga confused. She was not prepared for the unpopularity of her role as Harleen Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn), after the film received a 12-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival in September.

She is reportedly eyeing a new film from Quentin Tarantino, directed by Once Upon A Time In Hollywood – the work that helped Brad Pitt win the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2020 Oscars.
Tarantino plans to create The Movie Critic , his 10th and final film. However, on April 17, sources revealed to The Hollywood Reporter The project has been cancelled. It is believed that the famous filmmaker is working on a new project instead.
“Lady Gaga wants a role in Quentin Tarantino’s next and final film. No one knows what will happen but she wants to audition. She will do everything she can to get a meeting with him after the script is presented. That’s the key moment for her to get involved,” the source said.
While Lady Gaga is upset because Joker 2 not well received, audience points out hit owner Bad Romance has not really stood out in the movie. Some opinions say that the movie should only focus on Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, instead of stuffing other characters into the main role.
