The incident happened tonight (May 17) at a house in Binh Thang ward, Di An city, Binh Duong province.
Lieutenant Colonel Dam Bao Quan, Chief of Di An City Police, confirmed the incident and said that the investigation agency is conducting an autopsy to investigate.
According to initial information, at around 7:00 p.m. the same day, the daughter of Dang Thi Van (born in 1941, residing in Binh Thang ward, Di An city) took the family's Pitbull dog in an iron cage out to the yard to feed it.
At this time, Mr. Van was sitting in the house speaking loudly, causing the Pitbull to panic. It then rushed into the house and bit the car in the head, causing Mr. Van to collapse on the spot.
Discovering the incident, Van's daughter ran to pull the dog out, but because the Pitbull was so large, she could not pull it away. The victim died about 2 minutes later.
Through the investigation of the scene, the investigation agency recorded that the area where the incident occurred was a level 4 house with a yard in front. Mrs. Van's daughter and son-in-law had built an iron cage to keep 2 Pitbull and German Shepherd dogs.
The case is being further investigated by the investigation agency.
