On the evening of February 5, the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) said that at 6:00 p.m. the same day, the Traffic Police Department, Quang Ngai Provincial Police received a report from Thuy Luong Ward Police, Huong Thuy Town (Thua Thien Hue Province) about a girl named HMK (born 13 years old, in Hue), who was lured by a stranger onto a Phuong Trang bus to go to the South.

The working group of the Traffic Police Department, Quang Ngai Provincial Police then deployed forces to search for the child.
At 7:40 p.m. the same day, at km1101+400, National Highway 1A in Pho Cuong commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province, traffic police stopped Phuong Trang passenger car, license plate 51B-310.19, driven by driver Truong Van Trung (born 1991, in Hue), traveling from North to South.
Upon checking the vehicle, the traffic police discovered the child K. as reported.
The working group then worked with the driver and the child. Through the explanation, K. said that he had met a person whose name was unknown in Ho Chi Minh City on Facebook, the two liked each other and that stranger transferred money for K. to buy a ticket to Ho Chi Minh City to play.
The working group then gave K. food and drink, and contacted the family and the police of Thuy Luong ward to come and take K. home.
