On the morning of June 29, in his closing speech of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the 7th session that just ended was the session with the largest volume of legislative content since the beginning of the term.

Also at the session, personnel work was carried out strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws. The National Assembly elected the President, Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; approved the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Security... achieving high consensus and unanimity among National Assembly deputies.

The National Assembly spent 2.5 days questioning 3 ministers and the State Auditor General on 4 areas: Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism and State Audit. Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the Government also participated in answering questions. The National Assembly gave opinions on the content to issue a Resolution on questioning and answering questions at the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The National Assembly Chairman said that at the session, with a high approval rate, the National Assembly voted to pass 11 laws and 21 resolutions, including 3 legal resolutions.

The National Assembly gave its first opinions on 11 draft laws; reviewed the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2023 and the implementation situation in the first months of 2024; approved the state budget settlement in 2022...

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that in order to ensure that the law is implemented fairly, strictly, consistently, promptly, effectively and efficiently, the National Assembly requests the Government, agencies of the National Assembly, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit, and relevant agencies and organizations to focus on directing, thoroughly grasping, and promptly and effectively implementing the laws and resolutions just passed at the 7th session.

Emphasizing that the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly was a great success, the National Assembly Chairman said that the National Assembly acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination, efforts, close, timely and effective coordination between the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy and relevant agencies and organizations in carefully and qualitatively preparing each content of the session.

The 7th session of the 15th National Assembly has closed after more than 27 working days.

"Therefore, despite adjustments to the program and content, including urgent, difficult, and complicated issues, we still ensure smoothness, caution, flexibility, efficiency in management, and high consensus and unity among National Assembly deputies," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the international situation may continue to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner in the coming time. Domestically, besides opportunities and advantages, our country continues to face many new difficulties and challenges.
