(NLDO)- At the 8th session, the National Assembly approved the appointment of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Transport.

On the afternoon of November 30, in his closing speech at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that after 29.5 working days, the National Assembly had completed all the contents of the proposed program.

At this session, the National Assembly reviewed and decided on a huge amount of work, including many difficult and complicated issues related to many sectors, fields and practices that are urgently needed. The National Assembly voted to pass 18 laws with a high approval rate; reviewed and passed 21 resolutions. Among them was a resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and Khanh Hoa Province.

Regarding personnel work, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized that it has been carried out strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws. Accordingly, the National Assembly has elected the President; elected members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Secretary General; approved the appointment of the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Transport; and judges of the Supreme People's Court. At the same time, other personnel work has been carried out within its authority and has achieved high consensus and unanimity among National Assembly deputies.

At the 8th session, the National Assembly also analyzed and frankly pointed out the difficulties, challenges and shortcomings of the economy and proposed many specific solutions. It is requested that the Government study and absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies to promptly and effectively implement the commitments made to the National Assembly, voters and people nationwide.

The National Assembly Chairman also requested the Government, agencies of the National Assembly, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit and relevant agencies to focus on directing, thoroughly grasping, promptly issuing full detailed regulations, and effectively implementing the laws and resolutions just passed by the National Assembly.

Along with that, regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of policies after promulgation to promptly adjust, supplement and amend; proactively, actively and urgently build a legal corridor for new issues and new trends, creating breakthroughs in national development.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, in the spirit of the Resolution of the 10th Central Party Conference, 13th tenure on the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and the important directive speech of General Secretary To Lam at the opening session of the 8th session, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the agencies of the National Assembly will continue to strongly innovate, urgently arrange and perfect the "refined, compact, strong" apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, associated with restructuring the contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the tasks.
