Announcement of the decision to merge Party agencies and organizations

(TN&MT) - On the afternoon of February 18, Son La Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on ending operations, establishing and merging Party agencies and organizations under the Son La Provincial Party Committee and the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on personnel work.

At the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Nguyen Duc Thanh announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee on ending the activities of Party delegations, Party executive committees, and Party Committees of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises. Establishing two Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, namely the Provincial Party Committee of Provincial Party Agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee.

The Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province presented decisions and flowers to congratulate the Party Committees of the provincial Party agencies.

Announce the decision of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on merging the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department into the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; transferring the Tay Bac University's grassroots Party Committee from directly under the Provincial Party Committee to directly under the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies.

The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee on personnel work. Accordingly, comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies; comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, holds the position of Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao holds the position of Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh emphasized: The Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee have regularly led and directed the effective implementation of propaganda, dissemination and implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.

In parallel with the process of propagating the implementation of Resolution 18, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee also thoroughly grasped and implemented regulations on organizational structure, staff, payroll, regimes and policies; directed the organization and implementation to ensure scientificity and suitability with the province's reality.

Up to now, the arrangement of the apparatus in Son La has basically ensured the progress of the Central Committee, which is an important basis for successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels, successfully implementing the political goals set by the province and well preparing all conditions to enter a new development stage.

In particular, regarding the government sector, the State has decided to merge the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment into the Department of Finance; the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport into the Department of Construction; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment into the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs into the Department of Home Affairs; the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology into the Department of Science and Technology.

Establish the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; at the same time, reorganize the apparatus of 5 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, including: Department of Health, Department of Justice, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Labor Federation.

At the district level, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee have led and directed the policy so that districts and cities can implement it synchronously and uniformly.

Thus, from November 2024 to now, Son La has reduced 5 departments, 26 departments and equivalent units of departments and branches. Along with that, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has made a list of nearly 30 officials who are leaders of departments, branches, district leaders, and department leaders of provincial departments, branches and branches who registered to take the first leave on March 1, 2025.

For these cadres, Son La will speed up the settlement of pension benefits for cadres from March 1, 2025; at the same time, urgently prepare a budget to submit to competent authorities to arrange funding to support cadres who retire before the prescribed age.
