This afternoon (November 15), a source from VietNamNet said that the police of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces arrested the suspect who robbed the Agribank in Cua Lo Town (Nghe An) yesterday afternoon (November 14), while he was hiding in Ha Tinh.
The suspect was identified as NTA (born in 1995), residing in Truong Thi ward, Vinh city (Nghe An). The subject has been transferred from Ha Tinh to Nghe An for processing.
Agribank leaders also confirmed that the police force had arrested the suspect in the case of controlling a female bank employee to rob money.
Previously, at around 2:18 p.m. on November 14, Agribank's security camera recorded a man wearing a mask, a white windbreaker in the front and a red jacket in the back, walking straight into the headquarters of the Agriculture and Rural Development Branch in Cua Lo town.
When he entered, the man was still wearing a helmet, holding a handbag in his left hand and a knife-like object in his right hand, holding the female bank employee by the neck. At this time, the female employee was sitting on a chair and was pulled back, while in front of her there were customers waiting to make a transaction.
Also according to the camera recording, in the rapid developments immediately after, the man jumped over the bank employee's desk and ran away when many people shouted that he was robbed.
At this time, there were at least 2 male employees chasing after the strange man.
The bank then contacted the Cua Lo Town Police to report the incident. The robber left a plastic bag and a styrofoam box at the scene. At the time of the incident, there were 7 bank employees working and a number of customers waiting for service.
Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and clarify.
