Budget revenue continues to be positive

Tax officers and civil servants receive taxpayers' dossiers directly and online at the One-Stop Section of the headquarters of the Tax Department of Region XV.

Many domestic revenues exceeded the plan.

Information from the Department of Finance said that the total state budget revenue in the province in the first quarter of 2025 was nearly 25,514 billion VND, an increase of 3.5% over the same period last year.

Notably, in the budget revenue indicators, domestic revenue increased sharply. With revenue reaching nearly 13 trillion VND, up 20.5%, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is among 35/63 localities nationwide that achieved domestic revenue in the first quarter reaching over 30% of the estimate. This is a positive signal in the context of economic difficulties. This result also demonstrates the determination in the direction and management of the province, and the efforts of sectors and localities.

Of which, 10/17 revenue items achieved and exceeded the assigned estimated progress. Typically, revenue from local state-owned enterprises reached 185.2 billion VND, up 19.3%; revenue from foreign-invested enterprises was over 4,906 billion VND, up 4%, mainly due to special consumption tax revenue from Heineken Vietnam Brewery Company Limited (nearly 2,832 billion VND, while in the same period it was nearly 2,306 billion VND).

Revenue from the non-state industrial and commercial sector was over VND1,898 billion, up 23.8%. Some enterprises in this sector paid many times more than the same period. For example, PTSC Marine Mechanical Services Company Limited paid VND130.7 billion (same period was VND17.7 billion), PTSC Offshore Oil and Gas Installation, Operation and Maintenance Services Joint Stock Company paid VND45.7 billion (same period was VND8.5 billion), Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company paid VND42.2 billion (same period did not pay)...

At the district level, some localities have budget revenues exceeding the assigned revenue. For example, Phu My City's local budget revenue in the first quarter increased by 66% compared to the same period last year, of which land use fees reached 62.3%.

No interruptions

Mr. Tran Hiep Hung, Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Region XV, said that in the past time, although there were changes in the organizational structure, tax management and administrative procedure settlement for people and businesses were not interrupted.

Currently, the tax sector is implementing the Taxpayer Support Month. Therefore, the tax sector focuses resources to help individuals and businesses make tax settlements most conveniently. This is also one of the activities to promote tax administrative reform, improve the quality of propaganda and support for taxpayers to strengthen the relationship of trust, creating trust between taxpayers and tax authorities.

The tax sector has implemented many activities such as: organizing training conferences, dialogues, providing guidance and answering questions about tax policies, records, and tax settlement procedures; Providing documents and forms related to settlement for taxpayers, guiding taxpayers to prepare and submit tax settlement declarations according to regulations.
