In her first days at university, My was a shy girl, lacking confidence and unclear about her future goals. "I just thought simply to study to graduate, but it was the Youth Union that changed me," My shared. When she got involved in activities, My was impressed by the talent and versatility of her seniors. "I asked myself: "If they can do it, what about me?" This question urged me to do something to change myself," said valedictorian Ha My.

Determined to transform, My took the love from her family, teachers, friends and comrades as motivation. They were always a source of spiritual strength, caring, supporting and encouraging her to keep moving forward. Thanks to participating in student movements at school, My gradually became more mature. The activities not only helped My become more confident, but also provided important skills such as communication, organization, teamwork, problem solving... "These skills are very useful in studying, helping me to be more confident when discussing in groups, presenting or working with friends and lecturers. On the contrary, studying provides me with solid knowledge and the ability to think logically to apply to real work. From there, I come up with creative and effective solutions for movement activities. The more actively I participate in activities, the more I study enthusiastically, the more I feel the change in myself. I have escaped my cocoon, gradually becoming more confident and mature", My confided.

With the ability to inspire and lead people towards common goals and a responsible lifestyle, My has won the trust of her friends and was elected President of the Student Association of the school. She then ran for the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and the Secretariat of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City. These roles not only brought My valuable experiences but also opened up many opportunities for her future. With her constant efforts, My has achieved a series of outstanding achievements in the work of the Youth Union - Association, typically the January Star Award for the 2023-2024 school year. "This is an award that I am very proud of. I know that this award also creates motivation to promote the emulation movement, study and spread good people and good deeds among Vietnamese students. That honor has lit up, helped me have the opportunity to look back on my own growth process, and is the luggage for me to write new milestones," My said.

The valedictorian is 'good at everything'

My said that thanks to the skills she learned, she knew how to handle tasks and solve problems more effectively. Thanks to that, she immediately applied them to her studies and excelled as the valedictorian of the 2021-2024 school year in preschool education with a graduation score of 3.59/4.00. "My secret is self-control. At that time, I was always proactive, clearly understood my own value, and from there had a strong motivation to pursue my goals. Thanks to self-control in studying, I expanded my knowledge, confidently expressed my thoughts and communicated more positively, true to the motto: "Self-study and self-control are essential". You guys should be more proactive and self-controlled, that is also the way to give yourself more opportunities," My confided.

She is always the "locomotive" in activities and movements.

In addition to being independent, the student always maintains passion and discipline. My fully participates in classes, actively discusses lessons with teachers and friends, and takes advantage of the most comfortable time to absorb knowledge. "If I feel overwhelmed, I will divide my goals into smaller ones, read more books, and always stay healthy," My shared. According to My, it will not be difficult to achieve success if you persevere and find a suitable learning and training method. "I always take the saying: "Every individual will succeed and shine in a certain field as long as we persevere to the end" as a motto on the path to success in studying and training. I think that success is not simple, but if we are determined and persevere to the end, nothing is impossible," My said. Currently, My has just been recruited as a civil servant at the Central Pedagogical College of Ho Chi Minh City (the school she attended), in the Department of Political Affairs - Students.
