Opportunity for Vietnamese female students to "Be an Ambassador for a Day"

On the occasion of International Women's Day March 8 and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany (September 23, 1975 - September 23, 2025), the German Embassy invites female Vietnamese students aged 16 to 26 to participate in a special writing competition.

This competition is not only an opportunity to showcase your writing talent, but also an opportunity to empower and encourage the next generation of young women leaders. While we have made significant progress in advancing women’s rights and equality over the years, women are still underrepresented in leadership positions in many sectors globally. This disparity highlights the need to continue to encourage and support young women to reach their full potential and pursue their personal ambitions.

According to the German Embassy: "We believe that witnessing the dynamic work of a successful female leader firsthand can be a powerful source of inspiration. Therefore, we call on female students interested in the competition to submit their applications so that they can become Ambassadors for a Day!".

The winner will have the privilege of working alongside the German Ambassador, Ms. Helga Margarete Barth, for 1 day in March; will accompany the Ambassador to meetings and attend internal meetings, through which she will have the opportunity to experience first-hand a typical working day of a female leader.
