Opportunity for Vietnamese products to enhance brand value

On September 28, at Sao Do Square, the People's Committee of Chi Linh City coordinated with the Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong to organize the opening of the Exhibition displaying OCOP products, typical products and ornamental plants.

Participating in the Exhibition are more than 40 booths, displaying over 400 OCOP products, regional specialty products, typical products of more than 60 units and enterprises from districts, towns and cities of Hai Duong province and neighboring provinces and cities such as: Hanoi, Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh...

Along with that, Sao Do Square also organized an exhibition of nearly 300 works of ornamental plants, bonsai and handicraft products exquisitely crafted from wood by artisans inside and outside Hai Duong province.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Linh City Nguyen Van Kien said that the exhibition is an opportunity for businesses, production facilities, and farmers of Chi Linh City in particular and Hai Duong Province in general to introduce and promote typical agricultural products. This is also an opportunity for businesses to learn, exchange, promote trade, build links to consume products, expand consumption markets, and contribute to the development of tourism and services.

The exhibition is also an opportunity to evaluate and recognize high-quality agricultural products, production and business results of organizations and individuals; honor the creative labor results of the people. At the same time, it links tourism promotion activities, enhances the value of Vietnamese brands, and preserves the value of traditional craft villages.

This is also an opportunity to propagate and spread to the masses the response to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and "Protecting Vietnamese consumer rights" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Speaking at the exhibition, Director of Hai Duong Department of Industry and Trade Tran Van Hao said: the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" was launched by the Politburo in 2009 to form a positive consumption habit, arouse patriotism among the people, not only affecting individual consumers but also promoting development, changing the production mindset of enterprises...

The campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Hai Duong province has recently achieved many important results, contributing to promoting production and business, ensuring economic stability and social security....

Up to now, Hai Duong has had over 230 OCOP products; 222 typical rural industrial products at the provincial level; 21 products recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as typical rural industrial products at the regional level and 10 products recognized as typical rural industrial products at the national level... These are products that have affirmed their brands not only in the domestic market but also exported to many countries around the world.

The Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong suggested that Party committees, authorities at all levels and sectors need to strengthen extensive propaganda among all classes of people and the business community about the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to arouse the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, self-reliance, and the aspiration to rise up of Vietnamese people in production, business, promotion and use of Vietnamese goods.

Along with that, the authorities promote and introduce products, especially OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, strengths of localities. At the same time, support the application of information technology, develop e-commerce and modern trade channels combined with traditional trade activities; transparent information related to standards, prices and origins of products, goods in general and of Hai Duong in particular...
