Ea Sol Commune is about half an hour drive from Ea Drang Town - Ea H'leo District. We had breakfast and sipped a cup of strong Central Highlands coffee at Ea Drang, then headed to Ea Sol, passing through the villages of the Ede, Gia Rai, Rhade... people along the legendary Ea H'leo stream. Leaving our vehicles at the edge of the forest, shouldering our luggage, we eagerly began our journey into the Ea Sol grassy hills.

The hills and fields of the local people gradually receded behind, the green forest opened up before our eyes. To enter the Ea Sol grassland, we had to cross this dipterocarp forest and many slopes under the typical sunshine and wind of the great forest. The mysterious green forest rustled the sound of leaves singing in the whistling wind, that enchanting chorus made the footsteps of the explorers faster and stronger.

From the beginning of the journey, we never felt tired, because the vast forest and grasslands kept bringing us from one surprise to another. Walking on the trails amidst the vast green grass, sometimes I deliberately slowed down to watch my companions leisurely walking on the hillside in front – like people walking across the sky.
Suddenly in my mind resounded the passionate, majestic melody of the song Tay Nguyen Love Song composed by musician Hoang Van:
The Central Highlands sky is blue, the lake is blue, the water is blue
Truong Son is far away, green with endless trees

I was continuing my passionate steps under the deep blue sky, the green Truong Son range undulating in the distance, and this Ea Sol grassland suddenly looked like a giant blue lake. No, not a lake, but a sea - a sea of grass reaching as high as the sky, with endless waves of grass in the Central Highlands afternoon. The lush green grass seemed to stretch to the horizon. On the hillsides, herds of cows were leisurely grazing, in the distance, a few stilt houses could be seen behind the trees, a peaceful scene appeared in the middle of the vast, sunny and windy forest.
