The program is for union members and workers in difficult circumstances or with outstanding achievements in the southern provinces to return home for Tet. The "Union Train - Spring 2025" on January 21 (ie December 22, the year of the Dragon) departed from Bien Hoa station, Dong Nai province. This is an annual activity jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Railway industry, to support union members and workers to return home for a joyful and safe Tet.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, up to now, the total number of people registered to participate in the program is 1,750, including 1,009 union members and 741 of their relatives.
At 12:15 today, the train will officially depart from Bien Hoa station, bringing union members and their families home for Tet. Attending the event at Bien Hoa station were 110 people, including 60 workers and 50 of their relatives.
Specifically, the following units recorded: Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation had 495 participants; Binh Duong Provincial Labor Federation met the target with 450 participants; Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation had 350 participants; Long An Provincial Labor Federation recorded 183 participants; Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation had 56 participants; Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Labor Federation had 200 participants; Vietnam Railway Trade Union had 16 participants.
In addition to organizing the return of workers to their hometowns, the program also includes activities to meet, wish a happy new year and give gifts to union members right at Bien Hoa station before departure, demonstrating the union's concern for the spiritual life of workers, especially during the Lunar New Year.
This is an activity organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, to support union members and workers returning home for Tet. This year, the program is chaired by the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, in coordination with the Vietnam Railway Trade Union and related units.
