This morning, October 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, chaired the program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day 2024. The program was held directly at the Government headquarters, connecting online with 63 provincial and centrally-run city bridges. In the first 9 months of 2024, ministries, branches and localities have actively implemented digital transformation tasks and solutions, achieving many positive results; important policies and legal documents on digital transformation have been issued. The rate of people using the internet and smartphones has increased sharply; national databases, online public services, and electronic payments have developed strongly... Vietnam has risen to 71st place in the United Nations e-Government rankings, up 15 places compared to 2022.
The program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day 2024 is the third consecutive year it has been held, demonstrating the determination of the Party, State, political system, business community and people nationwide to join hands in national digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society and digital citizens.
This is also a message that clearly demonstrates Vietnam's determination to pursue the digital revolution in a profound, comprehensive, substantive and effective manner to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people and modernize national governance, bringing benefits to all people and the country.

At the program, representatives of a number of enterprises and units gave presentations and shared about the application of digital transformation in production and business as well as digital transformation solutions being deployed in enterprises. The program also introduced the outstanding results and imprints of the Community Digital Technology Group in the national digital transformation journey. Government leaders, leaders of ministries, sectors and organizations also had dialogues and discussions with enterprises and typical members of the Community Digital Technology Group.
Speaking at the program, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh noted and oriented tasks and solutions to implement digital transformation in the coming time.
Accordingly, digital transformation work needs to be carried out comprehensively, extensively, substantially and effectively, promoting the role of leaders at all levels, sectors and localities. Ministries, sectors and localities must have specific and clear programs and plans for implementation, focusing on three main pillars, promoting the development of digital infrastructure, applying new technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things... gradually raising awareness and digital skills for officials, civil servants and people.
