This morning, January 27, at Ba Tang commune, Huong Hoa district, the Provincial Border Guard Command presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Red Cross Society, Viettel Quang Tri, VNPT Quang Tri, Military Bank (MB) Quang Tri and organizations and individuals to organize the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers - Humanitarian Tet" in 2024. It has become a tradition that every time Tet comes, spring comes, the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the local people - Compassionate Tet" is organized to take care of Tet for the people in border and island areas; demonstrating the tradition of mutual love of the nation; at the same time, further tightening the close relationship between the army and the people in the border areas, uniting, joining hands and hearts to fulfill the task of protecting the sovereignty of the homeland's borders. This is also an activity to express gratitude to the people in the border areas who, together with the border guards, local Party committees and authorities, have fulfilled the task of managing, protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining political security, and social order and safety in the border areas in the past time.

The program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers - Compassionate Tet" in 2024 is organized with many practical and meaningful activities such as: visiting and giving gifts to policy families, families in especially difficult circumstances, "adopted children of border stations"; giving solidarity houses; Compassionate Tet market - free booths with gifts to share love; organizing free medical examination and treatment, distributing free medicine; free haircuts for people; giving banh chung; organizing cultural and sports exchange activities...
The new point of this year's program is that it invited cadres and people from Lao villages such as Ra, Plu, Tan Du... to celebrate Tet with the people of Ba Tang commune. The program's organizers also gave many meaningful gifts to the people of Laos, in order to spread love and introduce the beauty of the traditional Tet of the Vietnamese people.

Speaking at the program, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated the Provincial Border Guard Command for presiding over and coordinating with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Red Cross Society, Viettell Quang Tri, VNPT Quang Tri, Military Bank (MB) Quang Tri and organizations and individuals to organize a meaningful program, promoting the tradition of "mutual love and support", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the nation, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in border areas; helping people and students in border areas to welcome a joyful, warm and happy Tet.
Propose that the Provincial Border Guard Command continue to preside over and coordinate with relevant units and interested benefactors to organize the program on a larger scale in the coming time, especially with more practical and meaningful activities to help people have more favorable conditions to celebrate Tet with full joy and happiness in the border area.
Propose that the Provincial Border Guard Command and border posts pay attention to building economic models, supporting science and technology, seedlings, livestock... for people in border areas to develop the economy, improve their lives; promote propaganda on drug prevention and control, social evils... for people to raise awareness, comply with the law, maintain security and order in border areas; Huong Hoa district, Ba Tang commune actively support and encourage people to eliminate the mentality of waiting and relying on the support of all levels and sectors, and make more efforts in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction to build a better life.
On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee and sponsoring units presented 23 solidarity houses and 100 gifts to extremely disadvantaged households in Ba Tang commune.
