With a special combination of music, dance, and storytelling, “Flowers and Trash” is a warning about the dangers of waste pollution, a humane story of people taking action for the environment. The program is sponsored by Feelings Art House, co-presented with Trinh Cong Son Arts and Literature Foundation and the media cooperation of Le Bros Company.
The program brings an emotional artistic journey with a structure of 4 chapters: Love of the homeland; Scattering and Picking; Flowers and Trash; Colorful Environment. Each chapter is like a vivid picture, painted with timeless melodies by veteran musicians.
There, music lovers can enjoy songs filled with love for their homeland and appreciation for the beauty of nature such as: The First Spring (Van Cao), Nostalgia (Pham Duy), Spring Leaf Contribution (Trinh Cong Son), Color (Tran Tien), and even romantic songs such as Love is fading away, Night sees us as a waterfall (Trinh Cong Son)...
The program also features immortal international songs such as Summertime (George and Ira Gershwin), Earth Song (Michael Jackson), Think of me (Andrew Lloyd Webber)...
The concert brings together 120 artists from Feelings Art House, including singers, choreographers, sound and lighting experts, and stage crew. The artists will perform songs in many languages, including Vietnamese, English, French, and Italian, and bring contemporary dance performances, adding artistic depth to each performance.
In particular, the program's message is also cleverly expressed through the environmentally friendly stage design. The entire stage and props including towers, columns, cages, chairs, lighting accessories, etc. are made from recycled materials such as fabric, plastic and scrap paper, demonstrating a strong commitment to raising awareness and calling for concrete action on urban environmental issues.
In order for a large audience to participate and feel the message of environmental protection through music and art, the program “Flowers and Trash” will not sell tickets. Those who want to attend can register at bit.ly/Hoavarac and visit the website: https://hoavarac.com/ or https://rejoiceandrefuse.com for more information.
The art program “Flowers and Trash” was launched in 2024 and successfully held in Hue and Ho Chi Minh City. In early 2025, on March 8 and 9, the program made its mark with a performance at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater.
In the context of environmental pollution being a hot issue, the program is expected to contribute to raising public awareness, encouraging specific actions to reduce pollution, and protect the living environment for a sustainable future.
