Poetry Night takes place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel
Poetry Night is a special activity to honor poetry and spread the beauty and necessity of poetry more widely and deeply in life. The program aims to introduce to the public the precious poetic heritage in the poetry treasure of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups and typical works of ethnic poets or works written about the nature, lands, and people of the Vietnamese ethnic groups on the beloved S-shaped land.
At the same time, through the program, poets will better understand the beauty and mission of their poetic creations. They realize that the whole community is waiting for their poetic creations, they find a strange connection between people, between themselves and the larger community. That is a great source of inspiration for quiet creativity.

Speaking at the Poetry Night, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu said: "The Vietnamese people have created a long-standing and magnificent culture and poetry is one of the magical beauties that contributes to creating that culture. The poets present at the poetry night "The Harmony of the Country" - representing 54 ethnic groups of the S-shaped strip of land - brought a manifesto about the beauty and freedom of each individual and each nation.

"Let poetry reign forever in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. Let poetry bring the desire for beauty and freedom to every destiny in every part of this beloved, majestic, indomitable and proud country. Poets, let's sing together the "Harmony of the Country". Poetry lovers, let's step forward to receive and enjoy with their arms, hearts and conscience the beauty of the nation, one of which is poetry" - poet Nguyen Quang Thieu emphasized.
The program opened with a Gong performance by the Muong ethnic group performed by artists from Hoa Binh province around 22 torch stations, corresponding to the number of the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day.
The poetry night introduced to the public the precious poetic heritages in the poetry treasure of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
Next are the main contents of the Poetry Night, including 4 parts: Part one: Performance and reading of poems by authors from the Northern region; Part two: International poets participate in the exchange and reading of poems; Part three: Performance and reading of poems by authors from the Central Highlands and Southern regions; Part four: Remaining echoes.
The works performed in the Poetry Night include poetic stories and epics: Hundred Birds and Hundred Flowers of the Tay ethnic group; Birth of Land and Water of the Muong ethnic group and Xong Chu Xonxao (Farewell to My Lover) of the Thai ethnic group. These are poetic masterpieces in the folk literature treasure of the ethnic groups of Vietnam.
Through the program, poets will better understand the beauty and mission of their poetic creation.
In addition, at the Poetry Night, there were also poetry recitals by domestic and international authors.
