Awarding prizes for literature, art and journalism on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war

Attending the award ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Over the past 5 years, there have been 3,463 entries in the following categories: literature, music, dance, theater, cinema, fine arts, photography, journalism... The General Department of Politics has selected and invited prestigious cultural managers, artists, and journalists inside and outside the military to participate in 8 specialized councils to help the Steering Committee evaluate and select outstanding entries for the award.

Authors and groups of authors won B prize.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the works created in the recent period have demonstrated the authors' feelings, enthusiasm, responsibility and talent with the theme of armed forces and revolutionary war.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 208 works, including 30 A prizes, 43 B prizes, 59 C prizes, and 76 Encouragement prizes to authors and groups of authors with outstanding works on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war in the period 2020-2025.

Nhan Dan Newspaper was honored to receive an A prize for the work (electronic newspaper): "A time of bombs and bullets, a time of peace" by authors: Dinh Bich Ngoc and Pham Manh Hao; a C prize for the work (literature): The epic poem "Ngan qua binh minh" by author Lu Mai; an Encouragement prize for the work (print newspaper) of the 4-part series "Good models in the Green Army" published in Thoi Nay newspaper by author Nguyen Quang Hung.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, launched the creation and promotion of literary, artistic and journalistic works on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war in the 2026-2030 period.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said: Through 6 times of organizing and considering awarding prizes (since 1998 to present), each award ceremony has become a meaningful festival for artists inside and outside the army to participate.

This is an opportunity to spread and affirm the success in implementing and organizing key activities on culture, literature, art, and military journalism at each stage; at the same time, reflect the contributions of military soldiers and artists to the development of Vietnamese revolutionary literature and art after 50 years of national reunification.

Every five years, the organization of reviewing and awarding prizes for literary, artistic and journalistic works on the subject of armed forces and revolutionary war has become a meaningful activity with great scale and influence.

On behalf of the Steering Committee, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To launched the creation and promotion of literary, artistic and journalistic works on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war in the 2026-2030 period.

After the award ceremony, the audience enjoyed a number of outstanding musical and dance works that won awards from the Ministry of National Defense in the 2020-2025 award period.
