Stocks turn purple after news of US delaying tariffs

Stock group Banking, securities, information technology, and real estate are purple and widespread. Bluechip stocks increased the most with 30/30 codes purple. Many codes hit the ceiling with strong buying power and no selling, led by HPG, SHB, VIC, SSI, CTG, and FPT.

Group share related to export activities such as seafood, fertilizer, agriculture, food... were also covered in purple and green. At 9:30, VN-Index increased by more than 72 points, reaching 1,166.7 points. The entire floor recorded nearly 300 codes increasing to the full range. Liquidity reached more than 3,300 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen The Minh - Director of Research and Development of Science and Technology at Yuanta Securities Vietnam - said that the market is reacting positively after the news that the US has postponed the imposition of tariffs, and will recover in the coming sessions, corresponding to the scenario of a negotiation that brings positive results for Vietnam on April 9.

Technically, many stocks are now deeply oversold, suggesting a potential recovery. In terms of valuation, the market's forward P/E is below 10x, equivalent to the bottom of COVID-19 or the real estate crisis in 2022. Therefore, the opportunity for recovery is well-founded.

Looking at the world, Asian markets opened positively with green spreading, notably Nikkei 225 up 8.23%, Singapore Straits Times up 6.53%, All Ordinaries up 4.74%, Hang Seng up 3.28%, Shanghai Composite up 1.55%.

VPBank Securities commented that bottom-fishing demand is active, but selling pressure is still high, causing the VN-Index to lose the 1,100-point mark. Technical indicators have fallen deeply into the oversold zone, especially the RSI index, which is near the bottom of the pandemic in March 2020. Therefore, this analysis group predicts that the possibility of a technical recovery is still expected in the coming trading sessions.

Experts recommend that investors can continue to stay out and limit selling during this period. If they want to buy new stocks, investors should consider stocks that have shown buying signals with a low proportion.
