Previously, on April 23, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper published an article “Ha Tinh: More than 350m of road was ‘missing’ for 14 years at a key project” , reflecting the state of degradation and damage of the road section through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune, Ky Anh town.

This is a small component of the Ky Ninh Commune Cross-Road Project. The project is nearly 9 km long and has been implemented since 2010, connecting National Highway 1A through Ky Ha Commune, Ky Ninh, intersecting with Provincial Road 547 (coastal route Xuan Hoi - Thach Khe - Vung Ang).

The Ky Ninh cross-road project was implemented in 2010, invested by the Ha Tinh Provincial Economic Zone Management Board (now managed by the Ha Tinh Provincial Economic Zone Investment and Construction Project Management Board).

At the time of construction, the project had resources for construction, but because the project passed through Tan Thang village, a large area of garden land and residential land had to be reclaimed from the people, and the locality could not arrange a resettlement site, so the site could not be handed over. By 2021, when the resettlement site had been arranged for the people, the investor no longer had the capital to implement it.

Before the Lunar New Year 2024, the locality handed over the land to expand Provincial Road 547 through Tan Thang village to the investor, but after nearly 3 months, construction has not yet begun.

After Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported, the leaders of Ky Anh Town People's Committee directed relevant units to temporarily fix the problem so that local people can travel more conveniently.

According to Mr. Nguyen The Anh - Vice Chairman of Ky Anh Town People's Committee, the coastal road through Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune is seriously degraded, greatly affecting the daily life of the people. This is the peak of the beach tourism season, so people's travel needs are higher.

“In the immediate future, the town People's Committee leaders will direct the provision of a small amount of resources for dumping crushed stone, compacting it, and creating a hard roadbed to make people's travel more convenient. The completion of the road must wait for the province's approval,” Mr. Nguyen The Anh added.

Residents of Tan Thang village, Ky Ninh commune, are somewhat excited that the local authorities have taken action to repair this 350m stretch of road. “This is a short-term solution, we hope that the road will soon be completed before the rainy season,” said a resident of Tan Thang village.

Talking with PV Dai Doan Ket, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of People's Committee
Ha Tinh province said he was aware of the incident and would have directions for handling it.
