On July 5, Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to issue a plan to implement a pilot model for night-time economic development in Da Lat City.

Accordingly, in the period of 2022 - 2023, 4 models of night-time economic development will be piloted. The first is the water music park at Da Lat City Flower Garden with the following types: multimedia water music at 3 locations in the flower garden; building seasonal flower miniatures combined with decorative LED lighting systems, landscape lighting; organizing art performances; forming more sightseeing and shopping booths with handicrafts, specialties, and typical agricultural products of Da Lat.

Next is the culinary street model in the area of ​​Tran Le street and Hoang Van Thu lake (total length 900m) with typical dishes from Vietnamese regions, focusing on traditional local dishes.

Meanwhile, the night street model will be formed on the following routes: Khu Hoa Binh, Ba Thang Hai, Truong Cong Dinh, Tang Bat Ho, Nguyen Chi Thanh, with entertainment activities combining food and beverage, video games, coffee, cuisine, and shopping at night.

The night-time economic model in Lam Vien Square area will Develop new high-end shopping services, cuisine, entertainment, and nightlife such as walking, photography, roller skating, street performances, etc.

Also according to the above plan, in the period of 2024 - 2030, there will be 4 models of night-time economic development implemented. Specifically, the walking street model on Tran Quoc Toan Street (between Cu Hill and Xuan Huong Lake) with a length of about 1,600m. This walking street will have art performances, shopping activities, lake sightseeing activities, transporting passengers by beautifully decorated boats from Lam Vien Square to the walking street.

Regarding the night market model, a new night market will be formed in the Light Park area with a more modern, aesthetic form and more effective management method to replace the current night market model (Ghost market) on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street (in front of Da Lat market).

The new night market will have commercial stalls selling souvenirs, high-quality typical goods of Da Lat, night food stalls and cultural and artistic activities.

The existing night market (Ghost market) will no longer exist, replaced by the Light night market right next door.

The Open Park - Exhibition Hall - Book Street area at Xuan Huong Park will build a new Exhibition Center, cultural and entertainment services and a book street along Ho Tung Mau Street.

The fourth model is to form a night-time economic complex including the following types: sightseeing, indoor and outdoor entertainment, food and beverage services, shopping, art performances, and entertainment with prizes at tourist areas and spots: Love Valley, Dream Hill, and Thong Nhat Hill.

This pilot plan for night-time economic development in Da Lat City also clearly states the implementation method, implementation roadmap and specific implementation solutions, and assigns tasks and responsibilities to localities and related units to ensure effective implementation.
