Colors of Suoi Tia

Coming to Da Lat, most tourists know about Tuyen Lam Lake, but not many people know where the water flows into the lake, which is Tia Stream. Tia Stream is the source of the clear water flowing into Tuyen Lam Lake - the largest freshwater lake in Da Lat City, Lam Dong. This place is also known as "heaven" in the heart of Da Lat, but very few tourists know about it.

Suoi Tia is about 7km from the center of Da Lat city. Although the corner of the lake where Suoi Tia flows into is part of the Tuyen Lam lake water system, it has a different beauty thanks to the water palm trees. This is a rare place in Da Lat with flooded forest trees.

The flooded teak forest is most beautiful in autumn and winter. In autumn, the trees begin to shed their leaves, the canopy gradually changes from green to yellow and then falls, new buds grow, creating a mix of green and red, with clusters of yellow flowers. This is the time when Tia stream welcomes the most visitors to enjoy and take photos, especially couples coming to take wedding photos.

Suoi Tia has a very different color of the foggy land, attracting tourists by its magical beauty like a fairyland. The flow of Suoi Tia is surrounded by mountain ranges, creating a basin terrain.

If you come to Suoi Tia, the best time to visit is late autumn when the trees start to change leaves, and on days with little wind and high humidity. Get up early and visit Suoi Tia at Tuyen Lam Lake before dawn to have the opportunity to admire the magical fairyland when the mist covers the lake.
