"Around 6:30 p.m. there will be a train carrying passengers through the Bai Gio railway tunnel," said Mr. Vinh.

At exactly 6:30 p.m., the first freight train moved north-south (Khanh Hoa - Phu Yen) through Bai Gio tunnel, after 9 days, the railway line was cut off due to a tunnel landslide.

By road, it is expected that tomorrow (April 22) all types of cars will be allowed to pass through Deo Ca.

Previously, the construction units had drilled 39 drills, including 2 drills from the mountainside down and 37 drills inside the tunnel to pump high-pressure concrete, creating stable adhesion for Bai Gio tunnel.

In addition, the railway industry has welded large iron bars to create a solid dome at the landslide site in Bai Gio tunnel.

As Dan Tri reported, on April 12 and 13, a landslide occurred at Bai Gio tunnel with a total volume of more than 200m3, paralyzing the North-South railway section through the two provinces of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa.

The railway industry has worked with the Traffic Police of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces to ban all vehicles from traveling on Deo Ca road to reduce pressure on the tunnel lining.
