After the collision between a train and a pickup truck in Ha Tinh, the North-South railway line was completely paralyzed, and all trains had to stop connecting.
In addition to transporting passengers, the railway industry also prioritizes repairing and restoring severely damaged rail sections.
A representative of Vietnam Railway Corporation said that the rail sections have begun to be re-connected. After a safety load test, it is expected that the North-South railway passenger train will be operational this morning.
Previously, at around 8:15 a.m. on March 1, a freight train pulling dozens of carriages running from the South to the North, when reaching the Hoa Duyet - Thanh Luyen section in Vu Quang district, crashed into a truck parked across the level crossing, causing it to overturn. The incident caused the train driver to be slightly injured.
