Authorities have planted concrete piles and welded iron bars to solidly close two self-made paths across the railway in Nghia Hanh district to prevent accidents.

On the morning of December 24, Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2 - Traffic Police Department, Railway Safety Management Department II - Vietnam Railway Authority and local authorities organized to close the self-opened passageway across the North-South railway through Hanh Trung commune, Nghia Hanh district.

Authorities closed the self-opening railway crossing to prevent accidents.

Accordingly, the authorities buried concrete stakes and welded iron bars across the self-made path at Km937+600 in Hiep Pho Trung village and Km937+810 in Hiep Pho Nam village.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to close the fence, remove 2 self-opened paths from the list on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line and remove the names from the list of self-opened path management records in Hanh Trung commune. At the same time, hand over the management work to the People's Committee of Hanh Trung commune to manage, not to let the closed self-opened paths recur, as well as not to let new self-opened paths arise in the commune.

Previously, authorities also closed six self-opened railway crossings in Mo Duc district.

It is known that the North-South railway system through Quang Ngai province is about 100km long, including hundreds of level crossings, signalized paths, barriers... even though self-opening paths have been fenced off, many new self-opening paths still arise.
