(Dan Tri) - Coming to Cuc Phuong National Park at any time of the year, tourists and nature lovers can experience many interesting practical programs, especially watching and listening to wild birds singing in the forest.
Cuc Phuong National Forest is one of the most diverse bird ecosystems in the North with 308 species discovered and recorded, including many rare species such as: Red-headed Woodpecker, White Pheasant, Brown Hornbill, Striped-bellied Pit-tail..., especially many species endemic to Vietnam and Indochina. Therefore, Cuc Phuong has become an indispensable destination for scientists, bird watchers and tourists who love nature in general and wildlife, wild birds in particular. Bird watching is also included in one of the most attractive experiences for tourists when coming to Ninh Binh, especially in Cuc Phuong National Park. In addition, at Cuc Phuong National Park, there are also practical experience programs such as: visiting the Turtle Conservation Center; carnivore and pangolin conservation program; visiting the Primate Rescue Center; visiting the Ninh Binh Bear Conservation Facility... The Bar-bellied Pitta (female) was once featured on a postage stamp, one of the endemic species of Vietnam. Unlike the female with its many yellow patches, the male (pictured) has a distinctive green color with a dark blue patch on its belly. Black-chinned Flycatcher (male), English name is Fujian Niltava. White-rumped Shama (female), English name is White-rumped Shama. The male red-whiskered bulbul has darker feathers, with a small white spot on the back of its tail. Black-breasted Thrush (female), English name is Black-breasted Thrush. Japanese Thrush (male), English name is Japanese Thrush.
Northern Partridge or also known as Mahogany Breasted Partridge. English name is Green-legged Partridge or Tonkin Patridge. There are also a number of other mammals that regularly appear in Cuc Phuong forest that visitors have many opportunities to meet and see. In the photo is the Asian-cheeked squirrel.

If you discover acts of trading or hunting wild birds, you can report them via the hotline: 0828.797.899 of the Vietnam Association for Research and Conservation of Wild Birds (https://vbcs.com.vn). On May 17, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 04/2022/CT-TTg on a number of urgent tasks to conserve wild and migratory birds in Vietnam. The Prime Minister requested relevant agencies to prevent and end the hunting, extermination, and destruction of habitats of wild and migratory birds.
