This year's bamboo boat race was organized by Vinh city on the opening day of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival on April 19, 2025. Accordingly, each ward and commune will establish 2 racing teams, including 1 team leader, 1 coach, 1 caregiver and register 8 athletes to compete (including 4 official athletes).
The opening and competition time is 7:00 a.m. on April 19, 2025 at Cua Lo beach. The organizing committee will divide the competition into 2 rounds of racing according to the qualifying rounds to enter the final round.
During the competition, the Organizing Committee will prepare composite boats with a diameter of 1.6m. In each boat, the Organizing Committee will arrange 3 rowers (2 competing rowers, 1 reserve rower). The competing teams must wear traditional costumes. During the competition, the teams must obey the referee's orders, stay on the correct track, and absolutely not collide or cause any hindrance during the competition.
The first prize of the racing team is 4 million VND, second prize is 3 million VND, and two third prizes are 2 million VND.
Also on the evening of April 19, the opening ceremony of Cua Lo tourist season will take place, activating the opening symbol of "Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival 2025", visitors will enjoy the art program "Cua Lo - Shining Dawn" and the fireworks festival.
Then, on the evening of April 26, the National "Youth Dance" Festival took place at Binh Minh Square. On the evening of April 28, there was a Vinh City OCOP product fair. On the evening of April 30, there was a culinary exchange festival and an art program by Vin WONDER.
